Obsessed: How Natalia Zárate Found Herself In A Bottle of Today Eau de Parfum

The Obsessed series is an ode to a can’t-live-without-it Avon product, passionately penned by a Representative. For our latest love affair, we turn to Natalia Zárate, a lifelong fan of the brand and Sales Leader in Córdoba, Argentina.

Live every day to the fullest. Be present. Be in the moment. I’m sure you’ve heard these sayings before, and as cliché as they may sound, there’s an earnest truth to these words when living them out in your everyday life. Trust me – I would know because this is what I try to do today, tomorrow and every day. So, when looking for a single word to embody my little life mottos, I couldn’t quite find the right one. That was, until I discovered my signature perfume, Today Eau de Parfum by Avon.

My mother was a Representative, and I used to help her with campaign after campaign. After seeing her passion for Avon’s mission, I decided to become a Representative. I wanted to empower and inspire women just as my mother empowers and inspires me. And this feeling is exemplified in Today. When I wear it, I feel sensual, self-confident and powerful. In fact, every woman in my family has their own perfume identity. My mom is loyal to Imari, and my sister swears by Far Away. But I always seem to return to my tried and true.

Today’s white and hibiscus floral notes combined with the earthy silk musk take me back to my childhood, playing with my sister and mother in the height of spring bloom. One spritz and I’m instantly captured, even fascinated — not only with the aroma, but also the power that this fragrance holds. So often when I wear the perfume (which is every day — I carry the travel size with me wherever I go), I’m stopped by strangers on the street. It sparks conversations and relationships that I’d probably never get to have if it weren’t for the captivating scent of Today.

As a woman, having a signature scent is an important part of who I am. Much like my relationship with Avon, this is a perfume that I know will remain constant in my life. I am grateful for Today, as it has paved my way and taught me to leverage the moment — living each day to the fullest.
