When it comes to beauty, Tai Beauchamp is a #boss. The lifestyle writer and correspondent lends her expertise to magazines and TV shows, and fills her blog, The Tai Life, with stories that focus on improving one’s quality of life and doing it beautifully. When she’s not offering beauty and fashion advice, she’s at the helm of philanthropic efforts and networking functions for professional women. A total makeup maven, there’s still one product you won’t find in her purse – gloss. She may not like her lips to have sheen, but she undoubtedly shines.

Tai’s Story

“Recently I was hosting a cable network dinner and speaking to a group of women from various ad agencies, where I provided them with insight on fashion and lifestyle tips. There’s something so magnificent about having women come together and share their experiences. One of things I spoke about was the idea that lipstick is really about your voice. At the time I was wearing a deep wine matte–stained lipstick, a slight diversion from my signature deep red matte shade. For the people looking at you, a rich and captivating colour is the first thing that pops out. It not only draws attention to your external beauty, but in some ways it’s a subliminal indicator that you have a voice. Plus, there’s that whole action of applying it that says, ‘I’m grown-up.’”
