Don’t take life for granted. This is something people say all the time, but it isn’t until you live through an experience — one of life’s curve-balls — that it truly resonates. My husband passed away 13 years ago, and my world was rocked. Things that were once familiar became foreign. I felt as though I’d been taken out of my own skin. But through the support of my friends and family, and my work with Avon, I was able to look ahead with “don’t take life for granted” as my guiding light. This phrase is as much a part of me as my eyes, my skin, my heritage, my family. I try to infuse my life with the sense of purpose that it grants me. One thing that helps me do this is my Ultra Color Indulgence lipstick. With its bright optimism, it’s almost as if I’m wearing my mantra.

This may sound strange, but for me, beauty is about more than just colourful products. It gives me confidence and inner strength. It highlights my favourite features — the bone structure and lips my ancestors so graciously passed down to me. It brings out the colour of my skin and eyes.
